This week’s Living With Food Allergies Blog Carnival includes a terrific post from Go Dairy Free about food allergy-friendly chocolate bunnies for kids’ Easter baskets. But you may have good reasons for wanting to avoid candy altogether — an elimination diet, eosinophilic condition, or just hosting friends or relatives whose kids’ allergy issues you’re not sure about.

That’s why I’m excited to share a couple of resources for great food-free Easter gifts: one from the terrific nonprofit Kids with Food Allergies and another from About.com’s Parenting Special Needs Children guide Terri Mauro. Use them to help brainstorm, and feel free to share additional ideas in the comments.
